McDonald, John, Sr.   d. Aug 3, 1840, Native of Robeson Co., NC, John Campbell lies a few feet from the tomb of his daughter, Flora Campbell, who married James McDonald. Tombstone states he was born in Roberson Co., NC , died 3 Aug 1840 at 66 years of age. He was visiting his daughter when he died. He lived in Chambers Co., Ala where his wife (Catherine McDougald) is buried.
